When the idea of universal healthcare is being discussed many tend to shake and/or scoff at the idea. But it is very possible to have universal healthcare but the are many issues that need to be addressed before we can even talk about this topic. Many of the problems have to do with our current medical system. For instance, hospitals , doctors and clinics run rampant with their excessive charges for minor case/and supplies. This extreme inflation of services comes and huge cost to both patient and insurance companies.

Agreed Max, in addition to what you said about our very unregulated healthcare system, it also puts tons of pressure upon the insurance companies because of the excessive charges which in turn forces them to make very harmful decisions about their costumer/patients. These insurance companies because of the heavy financial burden end up denying many surgeries/procedures and medication that is needed, all of this can lead to permanent injury and death. The system is very broken.
